Reginald “Lil Reggie” Gilbert, born on February 16, 1989 in Washington D.C., DC, USA, left us on August 5, 2023. An ambitious and compassionate soul, Reginald was known by many for his creativity and humor. His infectious smile earned him the affectionate nickname "Smiley," a moniker that perfectly encapsulated his joyful spirit.\n\nReginald was an industrious laborer in private business. Despite his employment status, he was always eager to lend a helping hand, displaying his compassionate nature. An avid football enthusiast, he found joy in the camaraderie and competition of the game. His humor and creativity shone through in every aspect of his life, whether on the football field or in the company of his loved ones. As Mark Twain once said, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started," and Reginald was always the first to start - with a smile and a witty remark.\n\nWhat mattered most to Reginald was his family. He is survived by his father, Reginald Jackson; his son, King Nelson; his siblings Danielle Gilbert, Da’Quan Gilbert, Ashanti Carter, James Carter; and his nephew, Da’Quan Johnson. Reginald was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Anita Gilbert. His love for his family was immense and their memories of him will forever be cherished.\n\nVisitation will be held at Not About Me Ministries, 3106 Branch Avenue, Temple Hills, Maryland, 20748 on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 10:00amEDT.
