With his family by his side, Otis R McClees, 72, of Springfield, VA. Otis was born to parents Wilbert Green McClees and Mildred Mary Outherbridge (Deceased), on December 24, 1949, in Alexandria, VA. Otis graduated from George Washington High School in Alexandria, VA and attended Southern University in Washington, D.C., where Otis graduated with a Bachelor's in Business.\n\nOtis was married to Paulette A. McClees (Deceased), on September 24, 1975, and they lived in Alexandria, VA before moving to Springfield, VA where they had lived for 38 years.\n\nOtis was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great grandfather (affectionally known to all the grandchildren as "Poppy"), and godfather. Otis is survived by three children: Darrell Johnson (Stacey) of Maryland, Kelli Swinney (Elliott) of New Hampshire, and Otis McClees Jr. (Kate) of Washington, DC; six grandchildren: Jeffrey James, Stephen “Cristopher” Brown, Tyler Brown, Kayla Brown, Keegan McClees, and Brian Jackson-Johnson; six great grandchildren: Kaiden James, Ryan Williams, Gianna James, Makhi Brown, Harlem Thomas, and Summer Thomas-Brown, one godson: Zacchaeus Williams, one goddaughter Kourtney Wilburn and one niece Kizzy Bundy.\n\nOtis loved his family, friends and his church. Otis was a charter member and licensed as a Deacon at Spirit of Peace Baptist Church, in Capitol Heights, MD. Later, Otis was a charter member, partner and Chairman of the Deacon Board at his home church, Faith Tabernacle of Prayer a d Praise COGIC, in Capitol Heights, MD, where he served with his whole heart for over 18 years under Dr. Kimberly Hayes.\n\nOtis loved kids! Otis volunteered his time to Little League Baseball, Basketball and Football. Otis was a umpire, he coached football and baseball and was a board member of Central Springfield Little League. Otis, was a videographer for many occasions.
