We gather here today to celebrate the life of a magnificent soul, Michael Anthony Ross, born on May 18, 1948, in Washington, D.C. Michael was an adventurous spirit who welcomed the unknown with courage and curiosity, proving his bravery time and time again, especially in his career in construction. He was not one to shy away from a challenge, whether it was a complex construction project or mastering the latest technology. His adventurous spirit was complemented perfectly by his compassionate heart. He found joy in spending time with his family, cooking on the grill, fishing, and working on cars. His love for his dog, Zora, was a testament to his compassionate nature.\n\nMichael was a loving and thoughtful individual, always prioritizing the well-being of his loved ones before his own. He was a cherished father to Harriet Ross (Bunny), Michael Jr (Mikey) & Angela Harris (Peaches), a doting grandfather to Quinell Ross, Danesha Graham, Desiree Harris, James Jr., and a proud great-grandfather to Maryah Ross, Diamond Harris, Elijah Harris, Jahliel Harris, and Saraya Harris. Michael was widowed by his beloved wife, Harriet Ross, and now joins his parents, James Williams and Jennell Ross, in eternal rest. As Maya Angelou once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Michael's loving and thoughtful nature left an indelible mark on those he encountered, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.\n\nA visitation will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 10:00am EDT at Not About Me Ministries, 3106 Branch Avenue, Temple Hills, Maryland, 20748. This will be followed by a Homegoing Celebration at the same venue at 11:00pm EDT. Finally, a Committal Service will take place at 1:45pm EDT at the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, Maryland, 20623.
