Khalil (KayK) Jones, affectionately known as KayK, passed away unexpectedly on November 17th. KayK was born on July 24, 1996, to his parents. Kelley Jones, Vernon Randolph, Jamese Hemsley, and Micheal Shaw, Jr.\n\nA graduate of Ballou High School in Washington, D.C., KayK has held various odd jobs over the years and enjoyed the thrills of learning new trades. By the age of 26, KayK had excelled at providing excellent customer service through his contagious smile, strong work ethic, and positive attitude. He utilized these skills to obtain a position as a crew member at Five Guys. He hoped to advance to the position of Shift Manager with the company after having recently obtained his Food Manager's License.\n\nKayK was a loving and devoted father. He didn't miss any moments with his children. Being a loving father of seven, he always made sure his children were able to form close bonds by getting together every weekend. Those who knew him can attest to his love for his children.\n\nHis favorite pastimes as a child included skiing, playing video games, and writing poetry, some of which were published by the District of Columbia Public Schools. As well as spending time with his grandmother and caring for his children, he also enjoyed heartfelt laughter with his family and friends.\n\nHe will be remembered as an amazing father, leader, protector, loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, cousin, and friend, who touched and changed the lives of everyone he encountered.\n\nKayK leaves behind seven children: Jahi, Marijhae, Khaliyah,Kamari, Amari, Shyquan, and Khalil Jr., brothers (Tyree & Qushaun Jones ), beloved grandparents ( Walter & Jacquelyn Jones), parents ( ), aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of family and friends.
