“The Master walked in His Garden, plucking flowers along the way. He plucked one of my loved ones, to add to His bouquet”.
At the age of 66, Kathy Maria Barton answered God’s Call on her life, Sunday, June 8, 2025. Youngest daughter of Arthur Edward Barton Sr and Sarah Alma Williams Barton (both preceded Kathy in death) was born Monday, July 28, 1958. Kathy accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very early age. A native Washingtonian, Kathy attended Oxon Hill High School, Oxon Hill, Maryland. A school bus driver for the Prince George’s County Public School System, Kathy has always showed compassion for the welfare of children and the elderly. Illuminating light in every room she entered, Kathy brought joy and laughter in every setting. Before her health declined, Kathy served as President of the Peppermill Village Community Center Senior’s Recreation Club, Capital Heights where she planned trips and activities for the senior citizens. Kathy loved pampering herself by frequently getting manicures and pedicures. She loved cooking for family gatherings, hosting family game nights, dancing, crossword puzzles, coloring
and watching her favorite television shows: “Judge Mathis”, “Judge Judy”, “Love and Hip Hop” “Cops” and “Family Feud”.
