Helen Louise Wilson Obituary (1934 - 2021)

Helen Louise Wilson was born on June 14, 1936 in Old Germantown, MD to the late John & Mary Jackson. Helen went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2021 at Adventist Healthcare White Oak Medical Center. Helen attended Carver High School in Rockville, MD and she was a maid to many families through the years in Potomac, MD but her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved being a mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother as well as a Great Great Grandmother. Her family was her heart & soul. She loved having gathers, cooking big dinners and watching everyone laugh, dance and just have fun. As Helen got older she turned the cooking over to her children and she sat back and enjoyed their food and still enjoyed seeing the family come together, having fun. She loved them all equally but she had a special bond with her daughter Catherine. They lived together for several years and enjoyed each others company . They liked watching the Steve Harvey Show together as well as Westerns and Little House on the Prairie. Catherine took care of her mother and always made sure her mother was happy and had everything she needed. Grandma Helen also had a special bond with her Granddaughter Karen. Grandma loved the Redskins and Karen and her fiancé Stan loves the Cowboys. When they played each other Grandma would be dressed from head to toe in her Redskin attire and Karen and Stan would be dressed in their Cowboy attire and then the rivalry began! Grandma would holler when the Redskins would make a touchdown and tell Stan "We are going to beat your team!" Grandma Helen had a very special relationship with her Great Grandson Kenneth Moore Jr. They had a unbreakable bond from the time Kenneth was a little boy. Grandma Helen always called him "Her Kenny" Kenny enjoyed taking his Grandma out to eat as well as shopping and he always made sure she had everything she needed and never wanted for anything. Helen will be truly missed by her children, Catherine, Sharon, Carolyn & Charlie. Her Grandchildren Karen, Robert Jr., Donnell & Daniel. Her 13 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great Great Grandchildren and her very close friend and cousin Eleanor Fullier also known as Pete. Helen has been reunited in Heaven with her parents John & Mary, her husband Richard, her 2 sons Richard Jr. & James Bernard & her Grandson Lawrence.
