Centreville, Virginia
Dianna Morrison, born August 29, 1951, in Washington D.C., went home to be with the Lord on June 11, 2023. She was a loving and compassionate mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her courage and loyalty. Dianna was a devout Christian who loved reading the Bible, studying its teachings, and engaging in thoughtful discussions about its meaning. She was committed to her walk with God and hoped that her family would also find solace and guidance in their relationships with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Dianna lived in Centreville, Virginia for the past seven years, having previously resided in Landover, Maryland. She worked as an administrative assistant and secretary before retiring in 1992. In her free time, she enjoyed reading the Bible, completing word puzzles, watching game shows, religious shows, old westerns, and karate movies. She was also known for her love of board games, dancing, and laughter. Dianna found joy in the simple pleasures of life and always managed to make the most of what she had. She is survived by her son, John (Tabitha) Morrison; granddaughters, Cierra, Cheyenne, and Caiya Morrison; and grandson, Derrian Hutchinson. Dianna was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Farley; mother, Isabelle Hailburton; daughter, Leslie Morrison; sister, Deborah Farley; brother, Dion McCutcheon; and grandmother, Agnes Young.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 10:00 am EDT at Not About Me Ministries, located at 3106 Branch Avenue, Temple Hills, Maryland, 20748. The homegoing celebration will follow at 11:00 am EDT at the same location. As Dianna was a devout Christian, we find comfort in the words of Psalm 23:6, "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." We encourage friends and family to share memories and upload photos to the memorial page, celebrating the life of the courageous and loving Dianna Morrison.
