DeAndrae Coplin

–

Washington, District of Columbia

DeAndrae Albert-Lavaa Coplin, affectionately known as Wooda, Dee, Dre, or Pumpkin Darling by his devoted grandmother, was born on October 17, 1988, in Silver Spring, MD. DeAndrae's life was filled with joy, laughter, and an unshakeable spirit that left a mark on everyone who had the fortune to cross paths with him. Though his journey on this earth ended on February 19, 2024, his vibrant spirit and radiant smile continue to echo in the hearts of many.

Throughout his life, DeAndrae faced many challenges and obstacles, but remained resilient with an unyielding spirit and determination. His faith, akin to the mustard seed, was small but mighty, and he lived by the words of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." DeAndrae was a laborer who took pride in his work. His infectious laughter and playful personality knew no bounds. With his radiant smile, DeAndrae could easily light up a room and bring warmth to the chilliest of days. His true passion lay in the simple joys of life - the thrill of a football game, the tranquility of fishing, the rhythm of music (although he had none LOL), and the intrigue of an episode of the first 48. His love for his family ran deep, and he cherished the time spent with them above all else. Loyalty was the compass that guided his actions, and he would go above and beyond to lend a helping hand to those in need.

DeAndrae is survived by his loving and dedicated mother, Natashia; his father, Anthony Sr.; his biological father, Albert Bradley; maternal grandmother, Doris Coplin; his siblings, Ayona and Baby Anthony; his children, Madison, Mackenzie and Kash; his nephew, Xander Charles; his companion, Brooke Stickley, and, a hosts of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. DeAndrae was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Albert T. Coplin, III; his Aunt Robin Lee Bradley; and his adored paternal grandmother, Barbara B. Whitfield.
